Starting 2020 off with a FLIP!

2019 was probably the best year of my life and career, and I'm pretty sure Greg would say the same thing. Between the birth of our second baby (and first son), rockin' the real estate world with some of our favorite people AND FINALLY purchasing our first flip house. In other words, 2020 has some major shoes to fill.

With that being said, the first month has already been proving that this year is going to rock.
As of today, we closed on our very first flip home and I would love to share some before and after photos!

I mean, who doesn't love some awesome transformation pictures? I wanted to wait until #transformationtuesday, but you'll just have to settle for #motivationmonday!

Greg has been working so hard to make this dream come true, and it finally happened for him.
I am so proud of him and all the guys that worked on this project!

Closing day is always special, but even more special when it's with your favorite person!

Are you ready to see the after?
Well, before we do that...let me tell you a few things I have learned during this process.
  1. Get your financing lined out BEFORE you start anything

Greg and I have been talking about renovating properties for quite some time before actually getting to do it. We have several friends that are amazing at financing properties that include the cost of renovation. Do your research and find the company that you are comfortable working with!
  2. Get a home inspection!

Greg didn't get a home inspection and was unpleasantly surprised with several maintenance items that had to be repaired that ended up adding an addition $5,000+ to our budget. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $400-$500, which could end up saving you $5,000+ in the end.
Alright, are you ready?

DRUM ROLL.....

The exterior of the home

Home features new siding, new roof, new door, new windows and a new garage door

The kitchen turned out amazing!

When Greg told me he wanted to accent the lower cabinets with a light, sage green, I thought he was crazy.

Turns out, he was right. The color contrast turned out phenomenal!

I honestly think the bathroom turned out the best
The white subway tile mixed with the soft white granite counter tops EXUDES simplicity and class.
WAY TO GO GREG!

Both rooms feature new carpet, new fixtures, new paint and new crown molding

There you have it! Preferred Renovations first completed flip. Thanks to JP Construction for all your hard work, because I know I couldn't have made this house look as beautiful as they did. These guys took a property and made it a home.

Until next time!
